Hey All!,
I could really use your advice on what I can do here, I just resubbed. I have a character with almost 11m SP, but that last time I've played was about 6yrs ago. I've forgotten most of everything about the game. Even when I did play I didn't really know what I was doing, not a good start eh?.
Stupid: I did something really dumb. I was running missions and of course I had the bright idea in my head to get a battleship ASAP and try lvl 4's for more isk. Isk just like money in real life seems to evade me. I've always been pretty poor in this game from what I remember so, I sold everything and somehow I ended up with one of the most gimped Raven's out there. In fact I won't post my build as I couldn't bare the shame (yeah, it's that bad). I have about 20m isk left. Obviously, I should sell the Raven and get into some frigates again. Problem is and I don't know how I did it unless I bought it really cheap all those years ago I have some Rigs on the Raven and to my dismay they're worth 15mill a piece!! So, should I still sell the Raven or keep it for I would lose about 45mil in rigs? Just to emphasis 45mil is a lot for me. I know it's not the end of the world, but there were many l3's missions I had to run to get that.
Second: I REALLY need the help here. I quit due to missions. I don't ever want to do them again... ever if possible.. I would love to do some pvp. But with my income at 0 and no corp. I'm not sure what to do next. I need to join a corp, but it's impossible to find one that doesn't suck. I've joined from what I remember 9-12 of them and they all turned out a pretty terrible experience (recruit channel/forums). It's hard to join the best corp. out there, but maybe I can somehow do that or work hard enough for one to accept me. I want to do the long haul in this game and be apart of something epic. Fleet battle possibly? I'm not sure i'm that into pirating although I haven't tried it. I just need something a little more engaging then what made me want to leave the first time. Anyone have any tips on what I could try. Keep in mind I don't have much isk if I don't sell my Raven. What avenue should I go down. I know if I find a great corp. I'll need to sell everything then move into low sec. .. Huge HUGE thank you to the awesome people on these forums for any help they can provide! |

Thanks a ton guys for all the help/advice here. I think I may just take the loss and sell the raven as right now it's worthless for what i'm looking to get into. After that I'll search for a great corp and hope that this time I'll choose better.
If I am going to more pvp focus. Does anyone know of a skill list/site that would have the skills I should be training for fleet/pirate/pvp etc... So much has changed in the many years I don't want to train up on stuff that's not needed. Thank you again guys for the help! |

Thanks Shah! Only thing and maybe I should start a new topic about this is. I'm mostly missle trained. I'm scouring the forums for pvp info and how to get prepared. I hear missles aren't very good for PVP. So it sounds like i may need a few weeks to lvl up gunnery as mine are pretty low currently.
Oh and thanks guys for the contract idea. I'll try that and hope it works out. I haven't done any contracts before so i'll give it a try. |

Seriously, you guys are awesome! And about the pirating.... I think i may give that a whirl! . For training though. I put my raven up for sale (hope it sells soon). I spent all my remaining isk on skill books (I have a total of 39,790isk left haha). I was missing some gunnery skills/thermaldynamics etc.. For gunnery though should I be training hybrids? I know the flavor of today could change tomorrow, but for effective PVP should I be going down medium projectiles. I'm still sifting through the forums, but a lot of the info i'm getting is 2-3yrs old. Dunno if it's still relevant. By far you guys are the best community out there. Can't wait to fight along side you, or blow you up or whatever |
